Being A Fan

Posted on June 11, 2017 0

Being a fan of Buffy means so many things for me and has changed my life in so many ways. One of those ways was learning about the Slay-a-Thon. The main cause of the Slay-a-Thon is one which is for a cause that is very close to my heart. The Make-A-Wish program once made my wish come true when I was a young child, sending me to Disney world. It was a great time that I got to spend with my Mom and Dad, one that I will always cherish. I believe that’s what makes the Make-A-Wish Foundation so important: helping the child to want to be active and push on. Something that a child needs in that time of pain to get well.  Getting an opportunity to help give back to this cause is an amazing feeling for me, something I always plan on helping with.

The Slay-a-Thon even made me a TV series junkie, wanting to check out all kind of shows. Which I did with my brother, who I even brought to my 2nd year of Slay-A-Thon. He loved it as well and continues to come with me every year. I guess you could say this event has brought us closer together. We even started to bring our cousins as well, getting them just as obsessed with Buffy as we are.

Buffy is just a great show, showing how strong a woman can be, as well as how important friends and family are.  But it even has that sense of comedy that I love, making any bad day for me a good one. So to sum it up becoming a Buffy fan really has done more for me then I ever though it could.
